    1. Chill buttermilk for several hours. Stir 2 tablespoons of buttermilk and 1/2 teaspoon of turmeric in a bowl.
    2. Dab the mixture underneath your eyes, making sure to cover the full under eye area.
    3. Turn a fan on and point it towards yourself.
    4. Lay down for 10 minutes. Rinse the mixture off with warm water.
    5. Repeat 5 times per week.

    2. Coconut Oil

    Coconut oil is one of the healthiest fats you can eat, and it’s also one of the most popular home remedies for dark circles.

    How to use:

    1. Set coconut oil out to start warming up. When coconut oil is malleable, you can use it.
    2. Apply a thick coat of coconut oil to the skin under your eyes.
    3. Rinse off while showering.

    3. Egg Whites

    This is often one of the first home remedies for dark circles that people try, as egg whites are known to tighten and clear the skin.

    How to use:

    1. Wash and dry the skin around your eyes.
    2. Separate 1/2 teaspoon of egg white from the egg. Gently dab the raw egg white on the skin underneath your eyes.
    3. After 15 minutes, rinse the area with warm water.

    4. Spoons

    While no one is sure why this remedy works, it is one of the most trusted home remedies for dark circles. It has been used for many years.

    How to use:

    1. Place 2 metal teaspoons in the freezer. When the spoons are completely chilled, take them out.
    2. Lay down and press the underside of the spoons to your under-eye area. Leave the spoons alone until they are no longer cold.

    1. Boil 2 cups of water. Add 2 black tea bags.

    1. Cool a cucumber in the refrigerator. Peel the cucumber and slice into pieces 1/2 inch thick.
    2. Lay down and press a cucumber slice on top of each closed eye.
    3. Leave cucumber slices there until they warm up and reach room temperature. Discard cucumber slices and pat face dry.

    7. Mint Leaves

    Mint is one of the most powerful medicinal herbs, and this easy-to-prepare mixture makes it one of the most reliable home remedies for dark circles.

    How to use:

    1. Cut a small handful of fresh mint leaves into small pieces. Grind mint leaves using a mortar and pestle until the mint is lumpy.
    2. Dab the mint leaves underneath each of your eyes. Allow the mint leaves to dry.
    3. Rinse off with warm water after 15 minutes.

    8. Witch Hazel

    Witch hazel is an herb with many medicinal properties. Rather than being used in a straight herbal form, most people use witch hazel tonic. This can be purchased at the store. It is known for toning and tightening skin.

    1. Pour a small amount of witch hazel onto a cotton ball. Gently dab the witch hazel onto the bags under your eyes.
    2. Keep your eyes closed to avoid getting the witch hazel into your eyes.
    3. You can put witch hazel on your under eye area once per day.

    9. Salt Water

    This remedy surprises lots of people, because everyone knows that salt can cause bloating and puffiness. However, salt water is good for drawing excess water out of the skin and reducing the size of bags under your eyes.

    How to use:

    1. Pour 4 cups of warm water into a pitcher. Stir 1/2 teaspoon of salt into the water until it dissolves.
    2. Dip 2 cotton balls into the water. Lay back and press the cotton balls to the bags under your eyes, being careful to avoid your eyes.
    3. Leave the cotton balls on for 10 minutes or more.

    10. Milk

    Using milk on a regular basis is one of the easiest and most effective home remedies for bags under eyes.

    How to use:

    1. Pour 1 cup of milk into a glass. Chill for 1 hour.
    2. Soak 2 cotton balls in the milk. Press the cotton balls to your under eye area.
    3. Leave on your eyes for 20 minutes.
