Natural Ways to Help Remove Dark Circles Under Eyes

We’ve all had it happen a time or two: looking into the mirror and seeing a tired, listless woman looking back at you with dark circles under her eyes.

It the curse of every woman and sadly getting a full night’s sleep doesn’t always help to get rid of those bags under your eyes.

Luckily for you here are a list of tips on how to get rid of dark circles under your eyes.

How to Get Rid of Dark Circles Under Eyes?

    1. Change Your Diet
    2. Adjust How You Sleep At Night
    3. Treat With Topical Treatments
    4. Drink More Water
    5. Sleep More

    Tip #1: Change Your Diet

Sometimes dark circles under your eyes can be caused not by tiredness, but by your eating habits. If your face develops puffiness and dark circles under your eyes your diet could be the culprit.

“You need to change what you eat to help reduce the Dark circles.”

Pack your meals full of healthy fruits and vegetables that are loaded with vitamins, minerals, and enzymes such as berries, green leafy veggies, nuts, whole grains, fish, etc. Also cut out salty, carbo-loaded foods and processed foods as much as possible.

Tip #2: Adjust How You Sleep At Night

Dark circles under the eyes can also be a sign of vascular issues where blood pools under your eyes at night and causes the blood vessels to enlarge.

“To reduce the Dark circles, elevate your head while you sleep with an added pillow or two.”

This will keep blood from pooling under your eyes at night. You need to worry less about treating the problem once it has already appeared.

Tip #3: Treat With Topical Treatments

There are several topical treatments you can use to help reduce dark circles under your eyes. Natural remedies to topical store-bought treatments. For natural remedies you can try cold compresses (cold cucumbers, cool teabags, cold eye marks).

These will help to constrict the enlarged blood vessels that form the dark circles under your eyes or playing cotton balls dipped in potato juice or tomato juice and lime juice onto the eyes for about 30 minutes.

For topical store-bought treatments for dark circles under the eyes. Try dabbing a little hemorrhoid cream around the affected area. Using facial moisturizers with vitamin C, collagen and elastin to help diminish dark circles under the eye.

    Tip #4: Drink More Water

One of the biggest reasons for dark circles under the eyes is dehydration. A body needs at least eight full 8oz glasses of liquid a day and it if doesn’t get it, then our bodies dehydrate quickly.

Make sure to incorporate that water into your normal day and it doesn’t always have to be just straight water, drinks like teas and milk are just as beneficial as water, but water should consist of half the normal daily liquid intake.

    Tip #5: Sleep More

Sometimes sleep is a precious commodity that a busy life just can afford, but did you know that a person who gets less than 6 ½ hours of sleep for three days in a row is technically sleep deprived?

Try to make time to get at least 7-8 hours of sleep a night to not only reduce dark circles under your eyes but to help your body function better all around.
