People who have GERD have problems with different types of food. This means that you are maybe able to eat citrus foods, but chocolate makes you extremely ill. To avoid GERD symptoms, you will need to know which food trigger GERD symptoms. Whenever you experience GERD symptoms, write down what you ate that day. Over time, you will be able to avoid trigger foods.
